I tutored for a short time in high school, but not for very long. The kids no longer needed my help. I was a junior counselor at an after school program for an entire year and often helped the kids (K-6th grade) with their homework. I helped my classmates in school a lot. ACT score: 27 I want to be a tutor, because I love kids and love helping students FINALLY understand concepts and FINALLY feel that they've got a handle on their education. I love seeing the lightbulb go off. I would love to tutor even older than 6th grade! I've taken Introduction to Student Development, Psychology, Healthy Life Skills, and Fundamentals of Speech. I scored the highest in my class on the English and Reading test junior year of high school. I've gotten As in all of my English classes. I don't think I've ever gotten lower than an A on a paper. I excel in grammar and spelling. I am very competent in my writing. I am competent in basic math, algebra, and geometry. I love science and would like to help students love it too!
